He co-founded T.O.M Pictures, a production company, in 2003, along with Robbie Thorpe and Kgomotso Matsunyane. Akin Omotoso further honed his skills by serving as the series director for Africa Magic, M-Net, and the SABC between 2007 and 2013. During this time, he embarked on his project, “Tell Me Sweet Something,” starting in 2010.

One of Akin Omotoso’s most notable achievements is his direction of the Giannis Antetokounmpo biography film, “Rise,” produced for Disney in 2022. The film received positive reviews from audiences and critics alike.
