Ten Hag urged to ignore Man Utd moves for Osimhen, Kane and sign ‘perfect’ alternative this summer.
It has been predicted that Manchester United will pass up possible trades for Harry Kane and Victor Osimhem in favor of bringing a striker to Old Trafford who one analyst believes would be a perfect addition.
This summer, United are looking for a new No. 9, as Wout Weghorst’s contract is not going to be renewed. Once his loan period is through, the towering Dutchman—who is also a temporary addition—will be returned to his parent club Burnley.
Ten Hag is searching for a new reliable source of goals because many expect United to mount a title bid the following season. Ten Hag will presumably be given the go-ahead to spend lavishly this summer as a result.
Ten Hag allegedly wants a new right-back, a top-tier central midfielder, and a new striker in addition to a new striker. Such business will probably hurt United financially.
But, it’s been suggested that United will sell up to six players to increase their summer budget in order to make such transfers a little bit simpler.
Nevertheless, finding out who players Ten Hag is actively seeking to sign is of much greater interest. A new striker might cost United a club record sum, therefore talk over who they would seek is growing.
One such name that frequently comes up is Harry Kane. His Spurs contract expires in the summer of 2024, and failing to renew it will increase his transfer prospects. The England captain is now expected to sign with Tottenham.
Another name being considered is Victor Osimhen. But, the Napoli striker will want a high price, possibly exceeding £120m.
Tammy Abraham should be moved, Man Utd is instructed
While names like Benjamin Sesko and Goncalo Ramos are occasionally mentioned, analyst Alan Hutton suggests a different name.
And he believes Tammy Abraham has all the resources required to meet United’s upfront needs.
Abraham made 34 appearances for Roma this season and has seven goals and five assists. There are growing rᴜмors that they might sell the former Chelsea striker if a sizable deal comes in.
Abraham would be “ideal” for Manchester United, according to Hutton, who recently spoke to Football Insider.
He said, “I truly like him. “I’ve known him well because I worked with him at Aston Villa.
“Not just on the field, but also off the field. He works incredibly hard to get better every day on the practice field.
He may excel at a team like Manchester United, where they desperately need a number nine like him.
Hutton believes that Manchester United may be able to get a good deal on the player because his valuation is close to £60m, which is almost half of Osimhen’s asking price.
He added by saying, “He wouldn’t cost as much as Osimhen, and I believe that Tammy has the required expertise to integrate in and flourish at Old Trafford.”
Abraham is not anticipated to be United’s first pick, despite the fɑcт that his contract with Roma will end in the summer of 2026 and that he will cost a fraction of the money that the other options will.
In order for the club to achieve this goal, they will most likely explore the possibility of trading for Osimhen, Kane, and possibly Ramos before Abraham.
The club will be wary of some of the costs involved, though, and moving the other three will definitely cause the club to incur the highest amount of expenses in its history.
Not to be taken lightly is the fɑcт that he scored for Roma at a pace of one goal every 2.5 games, for a total of 34 goals in 84 matches played.
