While Big Zulu is not married, he is in a relationship with Lebogang Makenete, with whom he shares a daughter. He also has a son named Shaka from a previous relationship with Bulelwa Nazo. In 2018, he faced legal issues after being arrested for allegedly assaulting the mother of one of his children in Gauteng.
