His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Osebuka, who hail from Anambra State, influenced his desire to pursue a career in music. Chike is the second of four children in his family.
Chike’s journey in music began in 2009 when he started singing and honing his skills through various competitions. That same year, he won the title of Best Vocalist in a high school competition. Although Chike made it to the top ten, he was eliminated before the grand finale.
Undeterred by his elimination, Chike went on to compete in the first season of The Voice Nigeria, where he captivated the audience and judges with his exceptional performance. His rendition of the UK song “Roses” earned him praise from all four coaches, including X Factor winner James Arthur. Chike eventually joined Team Patoranking and showcased his talent with powerful performances of “No Woman, No Cry” by Bob Marley and the Wailers and “Mama” by Kiss Daniel.
Chike’s success on The Voice Nigeria propelled his music career to new heights. After the competition, he signed with Universal Republic along with the other top four contestants. In December 2016, he released his debut single, “Fancy U,” under the Universal Republic label, followed by the music video in early 2017. However, Chike decided to pursue a solo career and parted ways with Universal Republic in November 2017. He released his next single, “Beautiful People,” in February 2018.
In addition to his music career, Chike has ventured into acting. He made his acting debut in April 2017 when he was cast as Mayowa Badmus in the television drama series Battleground, produced by Africa Magic. Chike portrayed the character of a rich, egocentric, and spoiled but intelligent son.
