Manchester United is preparing €130m bid for Eduardo Camavinga.
According to a recent Spanish source, Manchester United is preparing a big €130m offer for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.
The France international, who is only 20 years old, has established himself as a crucial player for los Blancos, starting 12 of the 24 Liga games he has participated in this season.
When the Spanish giants got the better of Camavinga in the summer of 2021, United was apparently interested.
And according to Fichajes.net, the Red Devils are putting up a sizable offer to entice the strong midfielder to Manchester.
“United are still longing for the acquisition of the French international,” the outlet reports.
Also, they are prepared to burn their ships for Camavinga at Old Trafford. All of this, incidentally, stems from a proposal that would cost an incredible €130m.
Real Madrid, however, will not sell because they do not want to lose their “diamond in the rough,” according to Fichajes.
Although Camavinga’s contract at the Bernabeu runs through 2027, los Merengues are not under any obligation to let the player go.
On the surface, the report looks unlikely. Given that Casemiro already fills the defensive midfield position for United, it would seem more likely that the team would place a higher priority on signing a center forward, an offensive midfielder, and a ball-playing pass-master like Frenkie de Jong.
The Angloa-born star’s former colleagues Casemiro and Raphael Varane may have pushed United to acquire the player, though.
Although though the sum quoted appears absurd, considering Camavinga’s advanced age, it might turn out to be a wise investment given the number of playing years he still has remaining over other players.
If Fichajes’ assertion is accurate, it almost definitely refers to the huge transfer budget that Erik ten Hag has been given this summer.
Man United monitoring PL £60m star, the one known as ‘Heir of Messi’
The possibility of signing Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister has reportedly been discussed internally at Manchester United. The 24-year-old made a name for himself in the Premier League this year and assisted Argentina in winning the World Cup in Qatar the previous year.
Under Erik ten Hag, United’s fortunes have improved this season, and they now appear poised to qualify for the Champions League again after moving up to third in the Premier League standings. Ten Hag has already spent enormous sums of money to acquire a wide variety of players since taking over, but he will return to the transfer market in the summer to assemble a team that can contend for more hardware the following season.
The Red Devils have reportedly discussed the possibility of signing Mac Allister, but as the competition for the player’s services heats up, it’s also important to keep an eye on Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester City. Mac Allister could be allowed to leave Brighton for £60m even though he still has more than two years left on his current contract at the AMEX Stadium.
As the starting quarterback for six of Argentina’s seven World Cup games, Mac Allister was crucial to the success of his nation. In the group stage match against Poland, he scored, and in the match against France in the championship, he set up Angel Di Maria for a goal.
Additionally, Mac Allister’s Brighton teammate Adam Lallana has claimed that Lionel Messi adores him. During the World Cup, the former Liverpool star observed that when Argentina’s Lionel Messi drops deep and receives the ball, one of his teammates in particular will move forward from midfield and take up a position higher up the pitch.
The same player will drop back to counter Messi’s high jump, for example. Messi is always happy to pass the ball to him because he knows he will get it back because they have a connection on the field and are on the same page.
“Messi trusting you is one of the greatest honors in football, and that player is Alexis Mac Allister, my teammate at Brighton & Hove Albion. It is the highest expression of respect.
When it comes to choosing his next club, Mac Allister won’t be lacking for choices this summer. And if United can land the star, he might just give Ten Hag’s squad the attacking oomph and confidence in big games they need to once again contend for the Premier League championship.
